Description
As a Technology Engineer – Digital Workplace, you will be responsible for supporting and enhancing digital workplace technologies within the enterprise, particularly around mobility, modern desktop management, automation, and collaboration tools. You will play a key role in evaluating, implementing, and supporting Microsoft-based solutions, ensuring high availability and performance while maintaining strong security and governance.
This role will also require strong collaboration across teams, engagement with third-party vendors, and an innovative mindset to introduce new digital workplace capabilities aligned with Emirates NBD’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Core Technology Management
- Manage and administer Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune & SCCM) for device provisioning and compliance.
- Oversee Microsoft Teams environment, including policies, integrations, and access controls.
- Implement and manage Windows Autopilot, BitLocker, and Conditional Access Policies.
- Monitor and perform Tier 2/3 technical support and Root Cause Analysis.
- Document and maintain SOPs, technical guides, FAQs, and support materials.
Operations & Support
- Collaborate with IT Operations to maintain stable and secure daily operations.
- Deliver end-to-end patch management and support endpoint hardening initiatives.
- Assist in automation and process optimization efforts across the workplace environment.
- Respond to incidents, change requests, and service requests related to end-user computing.
Innovation & Vendor Collaboration
- Explore and recommend new workplace technologies aligned with modern enterprise needs.
- Liaise with third-party vendors for testing, evaluation, and implementation of workplace solutions.
- Support the bank’s mobile strategy and virtual workplace evolution initiatives.
Project Involvement
- Collect, validate, and analyze data for endpoint management decisions.
- Work cross-functionally with IT teams to implement and support project deliverables.
- Identify risks, track project milestones, and provide regular updates to the project manager.
- Ensure all initiatives comply with internal project management standards and specifications.
Required Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
- Strong hands-on expertise with:
- Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune & SCCM)
- Microsoft Teams administration
- Windows Autopilot & Conditional Access
- BitLocker/device encryption
- Familiarity with:
- Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
- Modern Desktop Provisioning
- Collaboration Tool Integrations
- Automation & Optimization Tools
- Understanding of:
- General IT Infrastructure, Banking Office & Branch IT Systems
- Wi-Fi, mobile solutions, and endpoint security
- ITIL-based support and incident/change management processes
Professional Competencies:
- Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
- Effective communication skills (oral and written)
- Highly self-driven and results-oriented
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field
- Microsoft Certifications:
- Endpoint Administrator Associate
- Teams Administrator Associate
- Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
- ITIL Foundation Certification (mandatory)
Preferred Experience:
- 5+ years of experience managing enterprise mobility and digital workplace infrastructure
- 3+ years working in a banking IT operations environment or equivalent enterprise setting
- 4+ years of experience working with ITIL processes (Change, Release, Incident)
