Description
NOV is seeking a Technical Advisor for hydraulic stimulation and reservoir solutions. The position provides technical leadership for hydraulic fracturing and multistage stimulation work in conventional and unconventional reservoirs. The advisor supports customers and internal teams with design decisions, engineering analysis, operational guidance and evaluation of results, while helping deploy and develop stimulation technologies across the Eastern Hemisphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical delivery of hydraulic stimulation and multistage fracturing solutions from design through execution support and post-job evaluation.
- Provide guidance on fracture design, modelling, simulations and engineering studies to improve well performance.
- Prepare technical proposals and customer-specific solutions that support business-development opportunities.
- Work with reservoir, drilling, completions and production teams to review objectives and recommend suitable approaches.
- Investigate technical and performance issues, analyse results and document lessons learned for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with global product-line teams on the development, introduction and commercialisation of new technologies.
- Maintain strong customer relationships through technical meetings, workshops, presentations and industry events.
Requirements and Qualifications
A Petroleum Engineering degree is required. Candidates should have at least ten years of engineering experience involving international projects and a strong understanding of hydraulic fracturing and stimulation. Practical experience across engineering planning, operational support and post-fracture assessment will be valuable. The position also requires proficiency in Microsoft Office for analysis, reporting and technical presentations.
Skills and Employment Details
The successful candidate should combine analytical thinking with sound technical judgement, clear communication, customer awareness and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams. Professional writing, presentation skills and a structured approach to troubleshooting are important. Full-time role based in Dubai, UAE, with regional and international customer engagement as required. Salary is not specified.
