Description
Provide senior mechanical engineering expertise to support the safe and reliable operation or development of industrial energy facilities. The role may include technical reviews, equipment assessment, maintenance and reliability support, troubleshooting and coordination with design, operations, procurement and construction teams.
The role requires collaboration across relevant teams, accurate documentation and early escalation of risks that may affect safety, quality or delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Review mechanical equipment specifications, drawings, calculations and technical documentation.
- Assess equipment performance and investigate mechanical issues affecting availability, safety or reliability.
- Coordinate with operations, maintenance, procurement and project teams to resolve engineering matters.
- Support technical evaluations, modification scopes, risk reviews and quality checks.
- Maintain clear technical records and communicate recommendations, assumptions and follow-up actions.
Requirements and Experience
- Substantial mechanical engineering experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, power or heavy-industry facilities is relevant.
- Applicants should understand equipment integrity, engineering standards, safe work practices and technical documentation.
- The role requires methodical analysis, independent judgement and effective cooperation with multiple disciplines.
