Description
Provide senior health, safety and environmental engineering support to help prevent incidents and maintain compliance across project or operational activities. The role contributes to risk control, safe systems of work, incident learning and continual improvement of HSE performance.
The role requires collaboration across relevant teams, accurate documentation and early escalation of risks that may affect safety, quality or delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Review work activities, identify hazards and recommend controls through risk assessments and job-safety reviews.
- Support implementation of HSE plans, procedures, permit-to-work arrangements and emergency controls.
- Conduct or coordinate site inspections, audits and incident investigations and track corrective actions.
- Advise supervisors and contractors on safe work practices and applicable company requirements.
- Prepare HSE performance reports and communicate trends, concerns and improvement opportunities.
Requirements and Experience
- Relevant experience in HSE engineering or safety support in an industrial or oil and gas environment is important.
- Applicants should understand risk assessment, incident investigation, work-site inspections and HSE management systems.
- Strong technical reporting, communication and coordination skills are required.
