Summary

To support maintenance of Marine fleet & monitor the requirements for conventional

Harbour Tugs in an efficient manner.

Day-to-day operations:

  • To facilitate a safe work culture on floating crafts.
  • Champion an inclusive Employee Relation culture and is accountable for the adherence to policies and to ensure a respectful and inclusive work environment.
  • Inventory control and assist Fleet Engineer in the maintenance and upkeep of all floating crafts.
  • Coordinate planned maintenance of all floating crafts in consultation with the Fleet Engineer.
  • Accountable for the usage of man-hours of his team of engineers.
  • Assist in planning and execution of all repairs and dry dockings of all floating crafts.
  • Take on duty of Fleet Engineer during his absence.
  • Maintain good working relationship with workers, appointed foreman, supervisors and management.
  • Attend any training for any activity required by the department.
  • Ensure materials are of required standard prior to use, reporting damages when required.
  • Work within allocated timescale to meet department targets.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in all work areas.
  • Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.

Education/Skills/Competencies

  • Bachelor/Engineering degree/Any Marine Diploma holder.
  • STCW.3 (Engine) restricted./
  • Experience in Marine, oil & gas and offshore industry.
  • Marine mechanic experience.
  • Port industry experience preferred
  • Work experience with dual fuel diesel Engine
