  • Specification Development: Prepare and review materials and fabrication specifications for a broad spectrum of components, including rolled plates, profiles, forgings, and welded assemblies.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with engineering, production, procurement, and quality teams to ensure optimal material usage with respect to availability, weldability, corrosion resistance, and inspection criteria.
  • Project Support: Provide expert input during procurement, fabrication, and installation stages to confirm that all materials are accurately specified, acquired, and deployed according to project design intent.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a growing team of materials engineers, fostering technical excellence and professional growth within the department.
  • Engineering Deliverables: Assist in the preparation, review, and approval of materials-related engineering documentation, reports, and technical assessments.
  • Technical Studies: Conduct in-depth engineering investigations into welding technologies, corrosion mitigation, and advanced material selection techniques.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Interface with internal design and production teams, as well as manufacturers and external stakeholders, to ensure alignment on project materials strategy and execution.
  • Supplier Oversight: Support supplier qualification and quality assurance processes, including audits, quality surveillance, and inspection witnessing as required.
  • Resource Planning: Forecast and allocate manpower and resources to ensure smooth operations within the materials engineering section.

Qualifications & Certifications
