Assistant/ Full Professor – Robotics

Job Overview

Khalifa University invites applications for faculty positions in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence within the Department of Computer and Information Engineering. The successful academic will contribute to research, teaching, graduate supervision and innovation in robotics, intelligent systems and autonomous technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct internationally recognized research in robotics and artificial intelligence.
• Publish high-quality research in leading peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
• Secure, manage and deliver funded research projects.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in robotics and related AI subjects, including robotic systems, mapping and localization where appropriate.
• Supervise graduate students according to academic rank and experience.
• Contribute to curriculum development and innovative teaching.
• Support interdisciplinary collaboration, entrepreneurship, technology transfer and innovation.
• Participate in departmental, college and university service.

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Research achievements appropriate to the academic rank sought.
• Evidence of effective undergraduate and graduate teaching.
• Graduate-supervision experience appropriate to career stage.
• Evidence of securing and managing funded research projects.
• Strong publication record in relevant peer-reviewed venues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
