Assistant/Associate Professor – Computer and Information Engineering

Job Overview

Khalifa University is seeking faculty members at Assistant or Associate Professor level in Computer and Information Engineering. The position supports teaching, research, graduate supervision and innovation in future computing systems, with emphasis on embedded systems, hardware-software co-design, hardware security, digital design and FPGA prototyping, neuromorphic computing, AI hardware accelerators and quantum computing.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct high-quality research in Computer Engineering and publish in leading journals and conferences.
• Secure and manage externally funded research projects.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses such as microprocessors, embedded systems, digital design and computer architecture.
• Supervise graduate research students.
• Contribute to curriculum development and educational innovation.
• Promote collaboration, entrepreneurship, technology transfer and innovation.
• Participate in departmental, college and university service.

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Research record appropriate to academic rank and experience.
• Demonstrated teaching excellence at undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Graduate supervision experience appropriate to career stage.
• Evidence of successful funded research activity.
• Strong publication record and academic communication skills.
• Commitment to curriculum innovation and technology transfer.
