Senior Operations Associate – Shops

Careem is seeking a Senior Operations Associate - Shops in Dubai to own marketplace performance for Shops across the UAE and Jordan. The role sits at the intersection of partner operations, strategic planning and in-store picking excellence. The position focuses on operational KPIs such as order acceptance, preparation time, accuracy, cancellations and customer contacts, while also improving unit economics, partner performance and peak-season readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end performance scorecard for Shops partners across the UAE and Jordan.
• Track order acceptance, preparation time, order accuracy, cancellation and customer-contact metrics.
• Translate performance gaps into strategic roadmaps targeting GMV leakage, AOV underperformance and take-rate erosion.
• Manage in-store picking operations including productivity, pick-to-pack time, accuracy, training and process design.
• Build and defend last-mile unit economics for partner cohorts in collaboration with Captain Operations.
• Run monthly and quarterly business reviews with major Shops accounts using cohort-level data.
• Lead peak-season planning for periods such as Ramadan and Dubai Shopping Festival.
• Coordinate partner capacity planning, demand forecasting and surge staffing requirements.
• Use data to identify operational risks and drive practical improvements.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in operations, quick commerce, last-mile logistics or retail/e-commerce marketplace roles.
• At least 2 years of direct team or external-partner management experience is requested.
• Hands-on experience with frontline or in-store picking, warehousing or fulfillment operations.
• Strong data fluency using Excel, SQL and BI tools.
• Willingness to travel regularly between the UAE and Jordan.
• Fluent English is required; Arabic is preferred.
• Strong operational judgment, stakeholder management and problem-solving ability.
