Description
Al Tayer Group is looking for a Travel Consultant in Dubai to advise customers on travel options, help them select suitable routes and airlines, and process tickets accurately and on time. The role combines customer service, travel planning, ticketing and sales-support responsibilities, with a focus on understanding customer budgets and requirements. The Consultant will present travel alternatives, recommend suitable routes and airlines, and suggest services such as airport transfers or hotel accommodation where these can improve convenience or manage overall travel costs. Accurate handling of ticketing, collections and administrative procedures is essential to prevent discrepancies and maintain transparent customer transactions. The position also requires maintaining an up-to-date customer database containing booking information, frequent-traveller details and preferences such as meals and seating, enabling more personalized service. The Consultant will collect and respond to post-travel feedback and follow up on overdue customer payments where necessary. Staying current with travel products, industry developments, rules and regulations is another important responsibility so customers receive relevant and accurate advice. Applicants should have Intermediate or A-Level education, with IATA certification considered an advantage, and 3–5 years of experience in the travel industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out the core responsibilities described for the position while maintaining company procedures, service standards and accurate documentation.
- Coordinate with relevant internal teams, customers, suppliers or project stakeholders to ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
- Maintain accurate records, reports and databases and provide updates to management on progress, issues and required actions.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying operational issues, customer requirements and opportunities to improve efficiency and service quality.
Requirements
- Intermediate or A-Level education
- 3–5 years of travel industry experience
- IATA certification is an advantage
- Strong customer-service and communication skills
- Knowledge of ticketing, travel products and industry regulations
