Description

The Senior Specialist in Costing is responsible for strengthening cost accounting, service costing and financial decision support. The role combines analytical finance expertise with process improvement, reporting and automation to help business units understand cost drivers, improve efficiency and support sustainable cost recovery. This is a full-time opportunity based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design and improvement of cost accounting frameworks and cost-recovery models in line with approved financial objectives.
  • Operate and maintain costing systems for assigned services and activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Prepare variance analysis, breakeven assessments, standard-cost reviews, pricing studies and management costing summaries.
  • Work with finance and operational teams to validate cost elements, service prices, contractual obligations and expenditure assumptions.
  • Develop dashboards and automation-enabled tools for costing, variance monitoring, KPI tracking and financial reporting.
  • Monitor cost performance indicators and connect financial variances with service efficiency and cost-recovery objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve costing methods, reporting reliability and financial controls.
  • Deliver workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions that improve cost awareness and financial capability across business units.

Requirements

Candidates should demonstrate the technical knowledge, analytical ability and stakeholder skills needed to operate effectively in a structured public-sector environment.

  • UAE National / Emirati talent.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance.
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience with a master’s degree or 8 years with a bachelor’s degree.
  • CPA or CMA certification is desirable.
  • Strong experience in cost accounting, financial analysis, modelling, forecasting and reporting.
  • Knowledge of internal controls, governance, risk, pricing, revenue management and financial systems.
  • Strong data-analysis, stakeholder-management and process-improvement skills.
