Description
Conduct structured investigations into financial-crime, conduct or operational matters, ensuring cases are assessed thoroughly, documented clearly and escalated appropriately. This position is suited to a professional who can combine sound judgement, customer or stakeholder focus and disciplined execution in a regulated banking environment.
Role Context

Key Responsibilities
- Review investigation referrals, alerts, cases and supporting information to establish facts and identify potential risks.
- Conduct research, interviews or evidence reviews as required within approved procedures.
- Analyse transaction, customer and account information to identify unusual or suspicious patterns.
- Prepare clear investigation findings, supporting evidence and recommendations for escalation or closure.
- Coordinate with compliance, business, operations, legal and other control functions on complex cases.
- Maintain accurate case records, confidentiality and timely completion of assigned investigations.
- Contribute to process improvements, thematic reviews and quality assurance activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, law, business, criminology or a related field.
- Relevant experience in investigations, AML, compliance, fraud or financial crime.
- Strong analytical, investigative writing and evidence-assessment skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information and manage complex cases independently.
