Legal Counsel (UAE National)

Provide practical legal advice and support across banking activities, contracts, transactions and regulatory matters while helping the organisation manage legal and commercial risk. This position is suited to a professional who can combine sound judgement, customer or stakeholder focus and disciplined execution in a regulated banking environment.

Role Context

Key Responsibilities

• Review, draft and negotiate banking, commercial, vendor and other contractual documents.
• Provide legal guidance to business and support functions on day-to-day matters and transactions.
• Identify legal risks and recommend practical mitigation options aligned with business objectives.
• Coordinate with external counsel and internal stakeholders on specialised or complex matters.
• Support interpretation of applicable laws, regulations, policies and contractual obligations.
• Maintain organised legal records, opinions, agreements and matter trackers.
• Contribute to legal governance, awareness and continuous improvement of contracting processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in law and relevant professional legal qualification where applicable.
• Relevant experience in banking, financial services, commercial contracts or regulatory legal work.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, legal research and analytical skills.
• Excellent judgement, communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
