Commercial Finance Analyst

MMI - Maritime and Mercantile International is seeking a Commercial Finance Analyst in Dubai. The role supports decision-making by turning financial and trading data into clear insights on revenue, costs, margins and business performance. Working with commercial colleagues, the analyst helps explain results, evaluate plans and maintain reliable forecasts while contributing to accurate and timely finance reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare regular reports and analysis on revenue, costs, margins and other commercial performance measures.
• Compare actual results with budgets, forecasts and prior periods, explaining key variances and emerging trends.
• Support forecasting and planning cycles by collecting assumptions and validating information with business stakeholders.
• Build and maintain spreadsheet models, dashboards or reporting schedules that make data easier to understand and use.
• Provide financial insight for promotions, channel performance, pricing decisions or other commercial initiatives.
• Maintain clear working papers and support the finance team with deadlines, controls and ad hoc analysis.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bring experience in finance analysis, management reporting, accounting or commercial planning.
• Demonstrate strong spreadsheet skills and confidence working with numbers, trends and financial information.
• Be able to explain findings clearly and collaborate with non-finance colleagues.
• Use sound judgement, keep records accurate and follow relevant policies, confidentiality expectations and internal controls.
• Relevant education, technical training or equivalent practical experience in the field is beneficial; any mandatory credential should be confirmed before applying.
