Civil Project Engineer

United Al Saqer Group, through Royal International Construction, is seeking a Civil Project Engineer in Dubai. The role supports civil construction projects from planning through site execution and close-out. The engineer coordinates with project managers, consultants, subcontractors and site teams to keep work aligned with approved drawings, specifications, schedules, budgets, quality expectations and applicable safety requirements. Experience on large infrastructure, commercial or residential projects is useful for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and update project schedules, work plans, resource forecasts and progress reports.
• Coordinate daily site activities with consultants, contractors, supervisors, suppliers and internal project teams.
• Review drawings, specifications, technical submittals and shop drawings before work proceeds on site.
• Monitor labour, materials, equipment and progress, identifying delays or constraints and escalating issues promptly.
• Inspect construction work and materials to check compliance with approved standards, testing requirements and quality procedures.
• Support site safety, environmental controls, documentation, audits and compliance with applicable regulations.
• Help resolve technical problems, review contractor submissions and identify practical value-engineering opportunities where appropriate.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil construction projects or a closely related discipline.
• Approximately six to ten years of experience in civil construction or project engineering.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, project coordination, quality control and site documentation.
• Experience with large-scale infrastructure, commercial or residential projects is an advantage.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, coordinate multiple parties and support safe delivery to schedule.
