Description
The Bridge Engineer supports construction, maintenance and rehabilitation of bridge structures in Al Ain. The position assists with day-to-day site supervision, construction quality checks, technical coordination and reporting. The engineer helps ensure that work follows approved drawings, specifications, safety procedures and client requirements while supporting the wider project team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with bridge construction, maintenance and rehabilitation activities at project sites.
- Monitor daily site work and check compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with site supervisors, subcontractors, consultants and project stakeholders.
- Prepare site reports, inspection requests, progress updates and technical records.
- Support quality inspections and review construction issues affecting bridge works.
- Assist with work planning, scheduling and technical problem-solving during delivery.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Qualification requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering; valid UAE driving licence and own vehicle.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Have 2 to 3 years of experience in bridge construction or maintenance projects in the UAE.
- Understand bridge structures, construction methods and maintenance practices.
- Be able to interpret engineering drawings and specifications and use Microsoft Office.
- Hold a valid UAE driving licence and have access to a vehicle for project travel.
- Be willing to work in Al Ain and travel to project sites as required.
Skills and Competencies
The role requires a practical understanding of bridge works, site reporting, inspection processes and construction coordination. Strong communication, attention to detail and familiarity with UAE standards and safety practices are important. Experience with road or bridge projects for government authorities or major contractors is beneficial.
