Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

American Hospital Dubai is hiring a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to turn complex healthcare data into practical insights for clinical, operational, financial and population-health decision-making. The position requires advanced capability in Power BI or comparable BI tools, expert SQL, Python and statistical analysis. The analyst will work independently, guide junior analysts and partner with clinical, operational and executive stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain advanced dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar platforms.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries across EHR/EMR, claims, clinical and operational datasets.
• Analyze healthcare measures including outcomes, readmissions, length of stay, utilization, cost and quality indicators.
• Use Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, SciPy and scikit-learn for analysis, automation and modeling.
• Apply statistical methods including regression, hypothesis testing, cohort analysis and predictive techniques.
• Partner with clinical, finance, operations and executive leaders to define KPIs and identify data needs.
• Investigate data-quality problems and workflow performance gaps and recommend improvements.
• Support data engineering initiatives involving ETL pipelines, data architecture and modern data warehouses.
• Mentor junior and mid-level analysts and promote consistent analytics and dashboard standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Health Informatics, Computer Science or related field.
• Advanced Power BI, DAX, data modeling and SQL skills.
• Strong Python and statistical-analysis capability.
• Five or more years of data-analytics experience with significant healthcare exposure.
• Knowledge of healthcare standards such as ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS and HL7/FHIR is desirable.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and data storytelling skills.
