Description
Carries out and supervises line-level maintenance tasks on Air Arabia Egypt aircraft within the ECAR ‘X&AV’ License Category. Ensures that all maintenance work is performed, certified, and recorded accurately and on time, in compliance with Air Arabia Egypt procedures and civil aviation regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviews assigned maintenance work with the Line Maintenance Manager to fully understand task priorities, documentation requirements, and any specific instructions or cautions prior to starting work.
- Performs defect troubleshooting and rectification according to Aircraft Maintenance Manuals and instructions provided by Maintenance Control Center (MCC) and Engineering departments.
- Ensures aircraft are maintained in an airworthy condition and dispatched fully compliant with regulations and airline standards. All work must be inspected, tested, and carried out using approved maintenance procedures.
- Signs off maintenance tasks performed or supervised within the scope of their authorisation. Ensures that all technical records, including the Aircraft Technical Log, are completed accurately after task completion.
- Maintains clear and timely communication with other engineers, technicians, flight crew, and MCC. Provides accurate reports on aircraft status, readiness, and airworthiness.
- Ensures safety protocols are followed to protect oneself and others during maintenance activities. Makes proper use of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications and Requirements
Academic and Training
- ECAR ‘X&AV’ License Category certification
- Aircraft Maintenance training specific to Airbus A320 family
- Familiar with civil aviation safety procedures and documentation standards
- Proficient in English (spoken and written)
Work Experience
External Applicants- Minimum 2 years of experience certifying maintenance on Airbus A320 family aircraft
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a line or base maintenance environment
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a qualified Aircraft Technician after initial training
- Must hold A320 type rating in the B2 (Avionics) category
- Demonstrated good performance and compliance with company standards
