Student Engagement Support

Student Engagement Office (SEO)

JOBPURPOSE

The Student Engagement Support Assistant provides administrative and logistical support for student activities and events organized by the Student Engagement Office. The role focuses on assisting with day-to-day tasks, ensuring smooth preparation and delivery of activities that enhance student life and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Support

  • Assist in preparing for activities and events as per the annual calendar.
  • Support with venue booking, setup, and on-site arrangements.
  • Help with logistics such as materials, resources, and basic communication with vendors.
  • Provide assistance to student clubs in simple event-related requests under the Officer’s guidance.

Event Coordination

  • Assist in coordinating event logistics including venue booking, setup, technical arrangements, and on-site support.
  • Support the Officer in managing campus-wide events and ensure student participation.
  • Assist in maintaining communication with external vendors and service providers as required.
  • Assist in ensuring proper documentation of event approvals and attendance.

Administrative Duties

  • Process and track activity and event requests.
  • Maintain simple records of attendance, expenses, and resource usage.
  • Support petty cash and reimbursement submissions.

Facilities & Resource Management Support

  • Monitor use of student spaces and report any issues.
  • Assist in organizing inventories of equipment and event materials.

Reports & Communication

  • Collect feedback and participation data from events.
  • Draft brief updates for reports or promotional materials.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Minimum Educational Qualifications Required for the Role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in student affairs, education, management, or related field.

Minimum Years of Experience Required:

  • Minimum 3 years in student affairs and/or events; student affairs experience preferred.

Language Skills

  • English is required
  • Arabic is required

Special Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Good communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Team player with multicultural awareness.
  • Advanced financial and administrative record-keeping
