Senior Accountant

Job Summary:

The role will be responsible for preparing, examining, and analyzing accounting records, financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.

Key Accountabilities:

• Prepare and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information – to ensure transactions are captured correctly and in timely manner.
• financial analyses and reports – to support MIS and decision making.
• revenue projections and forecasting expenditure - to support MIS and decision making.
• with preparing and monitoring budgets - to support mid & long-term planning.
• and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts - to ensure correctness or records.
• financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements - to adhere to internal as well as statutory requirements.
• month-end accounting activities like reconciliations, book closures, filing of FTA returns and general validations – to maintain integrity of books.
• to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures – to ensure smooth business functioning.
• with annual audit preparations - to adhere to internal as well as statutory requirements.
• and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance - to adhere to internal as well as statutory requirements.
• any other accounting duties as assigned.

Experience, Qualifications & Skills:

Experience: 5+ years’ experience in similar role, hands-on experience in preparing financial reports and Analysis. Logistics Industry background is desirable.

Education: Bachelors in Accounting/Finance. Professional certification such as ACCA, CIMA, CMA, CA etc.

Technical Skills: Proficient in MS-office; accounting standards; power point presentations and reporting models. Knowledge of Oracle and/or SAP preferred.
