Job Overview

Khalifa University is recruiting a Post Doctoral Fellow to support high-quality research and produce work suitable for publication in respected scholarly outlets. This early-career research role provides an opportunity to develop independence while working with an academic advisor and research group, strengthening technical expertise, communication, and project delivery skills. The specific research topic and methods will depend on the assigned project and supervising research group.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out the assigned research programme under the guidance of the principal investigator or academic advisor.
• Review relevant scientific literature, identify research questions, and help refine methods and project plans.
• Plan and conduct investigations, organize results, maintain accurate records, and interpret findings responsibly.
• Prepare technical summaries, conference papers, manuscripts, presentations, and progress reports for the research team.
• Discuss results with the advisor, respond to feedback, and contribute to high-quality peer-reviewed publications.
• Build professional contacts with researchers working on related topics and take part in collaborative activities.
• Where appropriate, assist with student mentoring, research-group coordination, or teaching-related activities.

Requirements and Qualifications

• A doctoral qualification in a discipline relevant to the assigned research programme is expected for a postdoctoral appointment.
• Candidates should show the capacity to undertake careful research and develop greater independence with appropriate guidance.
• Experience with scientific writing, research planning, and communicating findings is important.
• The ability to work constructively with a research advisor and multidisciplinary colleagues is required.
• Applicants should be organized, ethical, dependable, and able to manage deadlines and competing research tasks.
