Job Description: Lighting | Dubai Opera
About the Function: This role supports the technical excellence of Dubai Opera’s lighting operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting lighting systems, ensuring accurate execution of lighting designs, and upholding safety and quality standards across all performances and events.
What You Will Need to Succeed
- Diploma in Theatre Production or equivalent experience
- Minimum 4 years of lighting experience in a theatre or performing arts venue
- Strong understanding of lighting consoles, DMX, Art-Net, LED fixtures, and rigging safety
- Certification in rigging and electrical safety preferred
- Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage
Performance-Driven Culture: What You’ll Be Measured Against
- Execute lighting setups and cue programming in line with production requirements
- Operate and maintain lighting systems during rehearsals and live shows
- Troubleshoot technical issues to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with stage operations and production teams to ensure seamless show delivery
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and inventory logs
- Uphold health and safety standards in all lighting-related activities
- Support training initiatives and stay current with emerging lighting technologies

- Internal: Stage Operations, Production & Technical Teams, HSE, Facilities
- External: Visiting artists, production companies, contractors, and equipment vendors
