Description
The Helper supports production and packing activities in a printing and finishing environment. The role includes safely removing used ink tins, chemical containers and other production waste, moving binding and finishing materials, and preparing items for packing. Proper handling, orderly stacking and compliance with safety and environmental instructions help keep production areas clean and materials ready for use.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect used ink tins, chemical containers and other waste from the production area and move them to designated disposal zones.
- Follow safety and environmental instructions when handling used inks, chemical containers and production waste.
- Assist with lifting and moving binding and finishing materials needed for packing operations.
- Stack and label materials correctly and transfer them without damage or unnecessary delay.
- Keep work areas and material routes orderly, and report spills, damaged packages, missing supplies or unsafe conditions promptly.
Requirements and Qualifications
Candidates should be dependable, able to follow instructions and comfortable supporting material handling and housekeeping work. Care is required when moving production materials and handling waste containers. Use only approved disposal procedures and protective equipment, and ask a supervisor for direction if a container is damaged or its contents are uncertain.
