Job overview: Commercial Bank of Dubai is seeking a Senior Officer, PBG Due Diligence Oversight (UAE National) to join its banking team in the United Arab Emirates. Review high-risk customer profiles and ongoing due-diligence activity within the personal banking group. The role checks that customer records, risk classifications and periodic or trigger-based reviews meet internal standards and applicable regulatory expectations. The successful candidate will work with colleagues and stakeholders to support reliable service, sound decisions and the bank’s operating standards. This vacancy is intended for UAE Nationals.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct detailed reviews of high-risk customer profiles referred for periodic or trigger-based ongoing due diligence.
- Assess customer information in line with the bank’s KYC and ongoing due-diligence procedures.
- Review politically exposed person identification and related risk assessments against internal policy and regulatory requirements.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of KYC information and identify cases requiring risk-rating changes or additional review.
- Document review outcomes, exceptions and required follow-up actions, maintaining a clear audit trail.
- Coordinate with business and compliance stakeholders to resolve information gaps and complete reviews on time.
Requirements and qualifications
- This position is reserved for a UAE National.
- Relevant experience in KYC, customer due diligence, compliance, AML or personal banking risk is beneficial.
- Understanding of high-risk customer reviews, PEP assessment and ongoing due diligence is important.
- Demonstrated ability to organise work, manage priorities and meet agreed deadlines.
- A professional approach, sound judgement and commitment to accuracy and confidentiality are important.
