It supports fleet availability by ensuring engine and APU work is planned, compliant, cost-effective and completed in line with operational needs.
The position works closely with operational colleagues and other departments to resolve issues, keep records complete and meet agreed deadlines. A practical approach, consistent procedures and attention to quality help maintain reliable day-to-day airline operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the technical performance of A320-family engines, including CFM56 and LEAP-powered aircraft.

- Coordinate with OEMs and maintenance providers to resolve in-service issues and close technical actions.
- Review technical directives and publications and determine appropriate compliance plans with relevant teams.
- Ensure adequate engine and APU spare availability and reduce powerplant-related aircraft-on-ground events.
- Review invoices, plan budgets and drive initiatives that improve reliability and reduce delays, defects and maintenance cost.
Requirements
- Applicants should have substantial experience in aircraft engine or APU engineering, maintenance or technical management.
- The role requires commercial awareness and the ability to manage complex maintenance contracts.
- Candidates should understand airworthiness requirements, engine reliability and technical publications.
- Experience coordinating with OEMs, MROs and airline engineering teams is important.
Qualifications
- An engineering degree or relevant aviation technical qualification is appropriate.
- Aircraft powerplant, engine-management or maintenance-programme training is advantageous.
- Candidates should be comfortable reviewing technical data, budgets, contracts and cost reports.
Skills

- OEM/MRO coordination, contract control and cost optimisation.
- Technical decision-making, leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
