Job overview: Commercial Bank of Dubai is seeking a Manager, HR Governance & Oversight (UAE National) to join its banking team in the United Arab Emirates. Maintain and improve the bank’s HR governance framework and oversight arrangements. The role supports consistent controls, policy documentation and employee-related governance while contributing to a healthy working relationship between the bank and its people. The successful candidate will work with colleagues and stakeholders to support reliable service, sound decisions and the bank’s operating standards. This vacancy is intended for UAE Nationals.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance the HR governance framework in line with regulatory, risk and corporate governance requirements.
- Monitor the effectiveness of HR controls and governance arrangements across HR functions.
- Coordinate governance reviews and assessments to identify gaps, weaknesses and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure HR governance documentation remains complete, current and suitable for its intended purpose.
- Support measures that strengthen employee engagement, retention and performance while maintaining appropriate discipline governance.
- Prepare updates, coordinate stakeholders and follow up on governance actions through to completion.
Requirements and qualifications
- This position is reserved for a UAE National.
- Relevant experience in HR governance, HR operations, employee relations, risk or corporate governance is beneficial.
- Understanding of internal controls, policy management and governance reviews is important.
- Demonstrated ability to organise work, manage priorities and meet agreed deadlines.
- A professional approach, sound judgement and commitment to accuracy and confidentiality are important.
