Line Cook

Ounass is looking for a reliable Line Cook to join its kitchen team. The position supports daily food preparation and service, working alongside the Head Chef, Sous Chef and other kitchen colleagues to produce dishes to the expected standard while maintaining an organised, clean and safe kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and complete mise en place before service begins.
• Cook and present menu items consistently, following recipes and instructions from senior chefs.
• Manage the assigned kitchen section and coordinate timing with other stations.
• Maintain clean work surfaces, utensils and equipment throughout preparation and service.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, storage and stock-rotation procedures.
• Inform senior kitchen staff about shortages, equipment concerns and issues affecting service.

Requirements

• Show practical interest or experience in kitchen work, food preparation or line cooking.
• Understand the importance of hygiene, safe food handling and consistent portion standards.
• Remain calm and organised during busy service periods.
• Work cooperatively with chefs and kitchen colleagues and follow instructions accurately.
