Description
The Lead Quality Assurance Engineer for Network Operations is responsible for assuring the quality of complex software used in operational environments. The role helps teams adopt effective testing, test automation and release controls so that changes are dependable and operational risks are identified before deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement quality-engineering practices across agile teams and release trains.
- Create test approaches for complex workflows, integrations, business rules and non-functional requirements.
- Build and maintain automated tests using suitable frameworks and programming languages.
- Integrate test suites into CI pipelines and analyse defects and test failures.
- Partner with developers and operational stakeholders to improve release quality and reduce regression risk.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- Five or more years of relevant IT/software quality experience.
- A recognised agile testing credential such as iSQI Agile Testing is beneficial or required as stated.
- Experience with automation tools, Git, CI platforms and at least two programming languages; Java and JavaScript are useful.
Skills
- Strong software-testing fundamentals and risk-based test design.
- Automation engineering, exploratory testing and defect analysis.
- Communication and collaboration across delivery teams.
- Ability to improve repeatable processes and mentor other testers.
Employment Details
