Flight Operations Safety Specialist

Job Overview

Support the safety of flight operations by maintaining safety-management processes, reviewing reported hazards and helping operational teams identify and control risk. The specialist analyses safety information, follows up investigations and monitors corrective actions. The role promotes a proactive safety culture through clear reporting, practical recommendations and coordination with departments responsible for flight operations and regulatory compliance.

The position works closely with operational colleagues and other departments to resolve issues, keep records complete and meet agreed deadlines. A practical approach, consistent procedures and attention to quality help maintain reliable day-to-day airline operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor safety reports, hazards and operational trends and identify issues requiring further review.
• Support risk assessments and help document controls for operational changes or emerging hazards.
• Assist with incident and occurrence investigations, including evidence gathering and follow-up actions.
• Track corrective and preventive measures and verify that actions are completed effectively.
• Prepare safety summaries and communicate lessons learned to relevant teams.
• Support safety promotion, awareness activity and compliance with approved flight-operation procedures.

Requirements

• Applicants should have experience in aviation operations, safety, quality assurance or risk management.
• The role requires careful analysis of safety information and clear, factual reporting.
• Candidates should be able to handle sensitive operational information responsibly and work with multiple departments.
• Knowledge of safety-management systems and aviation regulatory requirements is beneficial.

Qualifications

• A degree or relevant professional training in aviation, safety, engineering or a related discipline is appropriate.
• Training in safety investigation, risk assessment or safety-management systems may be advantageous.
• Candidates should be comfortable working with structured data and procedural documentation.
