Consultant Neurosurgeon

American Hospital Dubai is seeking a Consultant Neurosurgeon to complement its existing clinical skill mix. The opportunity is intended for a specialist with expertise in one or more areas including neuro-oncology, neurotrauma and neurocritical care, or spinal neurosurgery. The consultant will provide specialist assessment and surgical care while working collaboratively with other medical disciplines and maintaining high standards of patient-centered clinical practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients requiring specialist neurosurgical evaluation and treatment.
• Provide consultation and develop appropriate diagnostic and treatment strategies according to the patient's condition.
• Deliver care within the physician's relevant neurosurgical subspecialty and professional scope.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate perioperative and ongoing patient management.
• Communicate clinical findings, treatment options, risks and follow-up requirements clearly with patients and families.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with hospital policies, safety requirements and professional standards.
• Participate in clinical meetings, quality initiatives, education and service-development activities as appropriate.
• Support a collaborative environment focused on clinical excellence and patient-centered care.

Requirements

• UK CCT or American Board certification in Neurosurgery is mandatory.
• Relevant subspecialty training and experience.
• Expertise in one or more of neuro-oncology, neurotrauma/neurocritical care or spinal neurosurgery.
• Strong multidisciplinary communication and patient-care skills.
