CNC Machine Operator

NOV is hiring a CNC Machine Operator in Abu Dhabi to support manufacturing of power-section stators and rotors used in oilfield directional drilling. The operator follows established procedures and SOPs, monitors critical process parameters, performs quality checks and ensures products move through manufacturing stages only after required verification. The role also includes equipment care, documentation, housekeeping and compliance with HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacture stators and rotors for oilfield directional-drilling applications.
• Follow manufacturing procedures and remain familiar with critical process parameters.
• Perform required quality checks before moving work to the next manufacturing stage.
• Complete daily machine-operator checklists and record process measurements accurately.
• Operate manufacturing equipment and ensure machines run according to production requirements.
• Handle tubes, cores and products at elevated temperatures using required safety procedures.
• Operate overhead cranes and other approved equipment where trained and authorized.
• Maintain tools, gauges and manufacturing equipment in proper condition.
• Record work in routers, checklists and applicable ERP systems.
• Support maintenance technicians during machine breakdowns and assist with improvement initiatives.
• Maintain 5S housekeeping and report hazards, abnormalities and improvement opportunities.
• Comply with NOV HSE procedures and maintain required logs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic mathematics and ability to understand manufacturing instructions.
• Knowledge of measuring tools and gauges.
• Ability to understand basic drawings, routers and procedures.
• Basic understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems is beneficial.
• Good mechanical aptitude and safe use of manufacturing power tools.
• English communication skills required.
