Institutional Research and Planning, Senior Specialist

This position contributes to institutional analytics and planning through professional judgement and collaboration. The successful candidate will deliver agreed objectives, maintain accurate records and support consistent, high-quality outcomes within the department’s priorities and approved scope.

Key Responsibilities

Design and apply research methods that support institutional strategy, quality assurance and performance monitoring. Collect, validate and consolidate academic and operational data, maintain clear definitions and traceable sources, and build dashboards, scorecards and analytical models. Examine trends, identify performance gaps and prepare periodic reports with actionable recommendations. Support enrolment forecasts, capacity planning, programme reviews, accreditation and ranking submissions. Work with stakeholders to explain key indicators, improve data literacy, automate recurring reports and safeguard confidential information.

Requirements and Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in statistics, data analytics, quality assurance, research or a related field is relevant; substantial experience in institutional research, performance analytics or planning is expected for a senior specialist position. Strong quantitative skills, dashboard and reporting experience, data governance awareness and advanced spreadsheet or business-intelligence capability are valuable. Candidates should communicate findings clearly, manage competing deadlines and maintain data integrity.
