Job Description
- Manage and oversee a specific kitchen section (e.g., hot kitchen, cold kitchen, pastry, grill).
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation at all times.
- Supervise and train Commis Chefs and kitchen assistants.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area in compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or spoilage to the Sous Chef or Head Chef.
- Minimize waste and control food costs within the assigned section.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of food according to HACCP standards.
- Assist with menu development and daily specials when required.
