Description
Job Purpose
To provide comprehensive, hands-on clinical support in pediatric care, assisting physicians and senior nurses in delivering high-quality, safe, and developmentally appropriate care to children. This includes aiding in procedures, diagnostic testing, specimen collection, and medication administration.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Procedures & Testing Support
- Assist in aerosol treatments and Bili Check procedures.
- Support physicians during circumcision and enteral feeding tube insertion.
- Aid in performing HbA1c testing and ketone meter usage.
- Assist with point-of-care testing for Influenza and Rapid Strep diagnostics.
- Participate in blood culture sample collection in pediatric settings.
- Support nasopharyngeal specimen collection and throat swabs.
Assessment & Monitoring
- Aid in conducting health history interviews and pediatric physical assessments.
- Provide support during pediatric visual screenings.
- Monitor patient condition and report significant findings to the appropriate medical personnel.
Medication & Vaccination Administration
- Assist in vaccine administration to children.
- Administer oral medications to infants under supervision.
- Perform oro-nasopharyngeal suctioning for infants and young children.
Pediatric Oral Care

Provide age-appropriate oral care for infants and toddlers.
Safety, Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure accurate documentation of procedures and patient responses in the medical records system.
- Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and hospital policy guidelines.
- Maintain equipment and ensure proper hygiene standards.
- Participate in emergency response situations as required.
Qualifications
Education & Licensure
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (minimum 3 years full-time study)
OR
Equivalent degree from a recognized institution with applicable licensure. - Valid Nursing License/Registration from home country and/or last place of employment (where applicable).
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is essential.
Experience
-
Minimum two (2) years of recent post-graduate experience in a pediatric nursing setting.

- Ability to assess physical and psychological needs of children and families.
- Skilled in clinical coordination and prioritizing care.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills with children and caregivers.
