Specialist Paediatric Emergency Medicine – TawamHospital

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physician to join our multidisciplinary team at Tawam Hospital. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered primary care to individuals across a wide spectrum of medical conditions. The role involves diagnosing and treating common injuries and illnesses, prescribing medications, creating treatment plans, and educating patients about health maintenance and disease prevention. Physicians may work across general or specialized practice areas including family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, and others.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct physical examinations and obtain detailed medical histories.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, and explain findings to patients and their families.
• Develop, recommend, and implement treatment plans tailored to patient needs.
• Prescribe appropriate medications, therapies, and interventions.
• Provide counseling on lifestyle modifications, including diet, exercise, hygiene, and preventive health.
• Update and maintain accurate medical records using EMR systems.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals including nurses, specialists, and allied staff to ensure holistic care.
• Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare providers when appropriate.
• Explain procedures and treatment options clearly and compassionately to patients and their families.
• Adhere to hospital policies and comply with applicable medical regulations and standards (e.g., DOH, HIPAA-equivalent).

Qualifications & Experience

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Completion of internship and residency in a recognized program.
• Valid medical license to practice in the UAE or eligibility to obtain one (DOH/HAAD).
• Demonstrated experience diagnosing and managing diverse medical conditions.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Strong organizational, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.

• Board certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Pediatrics).
• Experience in a JCI-accredited facility.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Ongoing participation in Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities.
