Job Summary:
Reporting to the General Manager, the Director of home health service (DOHH) plans, implements, evaluates and continuously improves the operational effectiveness at the NMC Provita Homecare facilities within UAE. As a member of the Senior Management Team, the DOHH participates in strategic and operational planning processes to establish and attain NMC ProVita’s goals. The DOHH is responsible to ensure that all policies, procedures and outcomes of designated areas ensure pre-eminent quality and safety of patient care, physician relations, fiscal performance and employee and patient/family satisfaction. He/She has direct responsibility and accountability for the management of nursing and other clinical support services, Operational Planning, Supply Chain, Procurement, Communications/Public Relations, Facilities, and Guest Services.
Responsibilities:
- Manages all operational activities and functions through a team of specialist clinical and operational staff. He/She has responsibility for the management of nursing and clinical support and therapy services.
- Manages startup and development of new NMC Provita Homecare facilities.
- Collaborates closely with other senior executive team members to provide leadership in planning and management of operations.
- Keeps under review and reports on all aspects of operational performance. The focus will be specifically on execution of plans, measurement and reporting of results and recommendations and execution of operational improvements.
- Ensure all NMC Provita Homecare operations produce necessary outcomes to support preeminent quality and safety of patient services and are in compliance with regulations governing medical facilities in UAE and the rules of accrediting bodies (such as JCI) by initiating changes where required and maintaining all necessary facility licensures.
- Responsible for communications and public relations. Confers regularly with all service leaders and key physician and management personnel to ensure that NMC Provita Homecare is responsive to the needs of patients and employees in achieving objectives, particularly in the areas of quality of care and efficiency.
- Ensures that facilities support delivery of excellent patient care. Constantly assesses clinical capability, readiness and space needs and makes recommendations to the General Manager about future needs and options for fulfilling those needs.
- Assists the General Manager in the development of annual operating and capital plans and budgets that support patient service requirements. Accountable for optimizing planned expenses and revenue outcomes for NMC Provita Homecare facilities. Develop benchmarks of operational and financial performance and constantly seek improvements.
- Ensures hospital operations, systems and services are organized and delivered to optimize service satisfaction of patients and families. Ensures effective delivery of Support Service activities to support care delivery and actively engages physicians, staff and external customers to gather and assess feedback required for improvement of NMC Provita Homecare operations.
- Participates in strategy planning in effective and efficient utilization of personnel, financial, medical, clinical and administrative resources and in clinical program and service line development; specifically working with clinical and senior executive team leadership to develop written strategic plans.
- Conducts other duties as directed by the General Manager.
- Flexibility in working hours to meet demanding deadlines required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum Degree in Business Management or Healthcare Management equivalent from a recognized reputable institute or university with operational knowledge and expertise.
- Master’s degree in business management or healthcare management preferred.
- A minimum of 8 years’ progressive Business & Operations experience preferably in an established healthcare environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and written and oral English communications skills. Arabic is preferred.
- Demonstrated success in the Healthcare sector in reputed organizations in UAE.
- Experience of managing in startup environments.
- Proven leader with strong managerial ability and understanding of the UAE and international healthcare delivery marketplace and trends.
- Demonstrated capacity to interface and maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees. Experience of managing multi-professional groups within a healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and strategically in a multicultural team environment with all levels of professional, technical and administrative staff
- Highly responsive, ethical, and responsible individuals with a professional approach and a desire to be held accountable for results.
