Description
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Physician to join our Primary Care team. The role involves providing comprehensive clinical care to patients presenting with a range of common illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions. The physician will assess, diagnose, and treat patients, guide them in health promotion and disease prevention, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
You will practice in accordance with the Department of Health (DOH) regulations and SEHA’s high clinical standards, working in alignment with Al Ain Hospital’s vision of providing world-class care.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care- Conduct thorough examinations and assessments, obtain patient histories, and document findings.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and disorders.
- Order, interpret, and explain diagnostic tests such as laboratory results, imaging, and screenings.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including prescribing medications or therapies.
- Provide preventive health counseling, including diet, hygiene, lifestyle, and disease prevention strategies.
- Clearly explain diagnoses, treatment options, and procedures to patients and families.
- Refer patients to specialists or coordinate with other healthcare providers as clinically necessary.
- Build strong, empathetic relationships with patients and families.
- Address patient concerns and provide timely answers to questions regarding health conditions or care plans.
- Promote a patient-centered approach to care delivery.
- Work closely with nurses, allied health professionals, and administrative staff to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
- Participate in clinical rounds, interdisciplinary meetings, and patient care conferences.
- Ensure compliance with DOH, SEHA, and hospital policies, including patient confidentiality (e.g., HIPAA or equivalent).
- Maintain up-to-date patient records in electronic health systems.
- Stay current with medical innovations and research, integrating best practices into clinical work.
Qualifications
Education & Licensure- Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Successful completion of internship and residency in a relevant specialty (e.g., Internal Medicine, Family Medicine).
- Valid DOH license or eligibility for licensure in Abu Dhabi/UAE.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in a primary care or general practice setting.
- Ability to diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of medical conditions independently.
- Strong clinical knowledge and evidence-based practice orientation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High standards of professional ethics, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and effective at problem-solving.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
