Description
The Lending and Insurance Lead shapes the strategy and product portfolio for lending and insurance propositions within du Pay. The role covers the development and management of digital financial products such as micro-lending, consumer and personal credit, salary-linked finance, device financing, embedded lending and merchant or SME solutions. It focuses on creating useful customer journeys for different customer groups while balancing commercial outcomes, responsible product design, risk and regulatory expectations. The lead works with financial partners, technology teams, data specialists, risk and compliance functions to develop product features and operating models that can scale in the UAE market and potentially across the wider region.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the lending and insurance strategy, product roadmap and lifecycle priorities for the du Pay portfolio.
- Develop propositions such as micro-lending, personal and salary-linked credit, device financing, embedded finance and merchant lending.
- Identify customer needs across different segments, including expatriates, UAE nationals, blue-collar customers and merchant users.
- Build relationships with banks, insurers, fintech companies and other financial-market partners.
- Coordinate product requirements covering customer journeys, APIs, credit decisioning, data, servicing and operational workflows.
- Work with risk, compliance, legal and technology teams to ensure responsible product design and appropriate controls.
- Monitor product performance, customer outcomes and commercial indicators and refine the portfolio as market conditions change.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
- An MBA or relevant professional qualification is desirable; CFA, FRM or credit and insurance credentials may be beneficial.
- Experience with digital lending platforms, fintech, embedded finance, consumer credit or insurance products is relevant.
- Knowledge of credit scoring, alternative data, decision engines, APIs or machine-learning credit analytics is useful.
- Exposure to telecom or financial products and the UAE, GCC or MENA market is advantageous.
