Description
The Retail Credit Services (RCS) – Mortgages team facilitates lending solutions for various real estate needs, including home or office purchases, self-construction, refinancing, and buyouts.
The Field Officer plays a crucial role in conducting site inspections and due diligence for customers availing mortgage finance. This includes verifying business operations for salaried and self-employed applicants, assessing creditworthiness, and preparing accurate and insightful reports.
Key Responsibilities
Field Inspections & Credit Evaluation
- Conduct physical inspections of businesses owned by mortgage applicants.
- Engage with company representatives to assess operational activities and gather relevant information.
- Take photographs and compile detailed reports based on site visits and observations.
- Prepare business verification reports and maintain MIS for all inspections conducted.
- Review and analyze financial documents and credit profiles of salaried and self-employed individuals.
- Ensure loan assessments comply with both Emirates NBD and UAE Central Bank policies.
Productivity & Operational Support
- Handle queries from Credit Analysts related to business verification.
- Understand and navigate various company structures and business registration authorities.
- Engage directly with customers via phone or in person as needed.
- Maintain accurate and updated tracking of all business visit reports.
Compliance
- Adhere to bank policies, regulatory requirements, and unit-specific guidelines.
- Ensure ethical use of information and materials during customer interactions.
- Maintain full compliance with Emirates NBD’s Code of Conduct.
Customer Service
- Deliver responsive and effective service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Meet agreed turnaround times (TATs) for all tasks and communications.
- Liaise with stakeholders such as developers, land departments, and internal teams to streamline processes.
Process Improvement
- Set up and optimize processes with developers and land authorities for mortgage-related registrations.
- Recommend and implement improvements to increase operational efficiency and enhance the bank’s value proposition.
- Stay aligned with changes to internal policies and systems.
Teamwork & Initiatives
- Take ownership of problem-solving and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to team targets and efficiency.
- Propose suggestions to enhance productivity and service quality.

Qualifications & Experience
Education

Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Finance or a related field.
Experience
- Prior experience in the UAE mortgage or real estate industry.
- Strong understanding of company financials and credit analysis.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks.
Skills Required
- Valid UAE driving license and access to a personal vehicle (mandatory).
- Proficient in English and Arabic (verbal & written).
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Relationship-building and conflict management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
