Description

The Guest Environment Expert plays a vital role in creating memorable and welcoming experiences for hotel guests by ensuring the cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms and public areas. More than just maintaining a tidy environment, this role contributes to the overall guest experience through attention to detail, responsiveness to guest needs, and pride in providing a consistently high standard of service.

This role is hands-on and dynamic, requiring physical movement, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to housekeeping duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of housekeeping duties including cleaning guest rooms, restrooms, corridors, lobbies, and public areas.
  • Deliver guest requests promptly and professionally (e.g., additional towels, linens, amenities).
  • Stock and organize housekeeping carts and closets to ensure efficient service.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the property.
  • Remove trash, replace linens, make beds, replenish supplies, and report any maintenance issues.
  • Ensure all areas meet established cleanliness, sanitation, and presentation standards.
  • Handle guest interactions with warmth and professionalism, responding to their needs and concerns effectively.
  • Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and according to guidelines.
  • Report lost and found items and maintain guest confidentiality.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Workplace and Physical Requirements

  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Engage in bending, kneeling, and reaching overhead as part of regular cleaning duties.
  • Must be comfortable working in a physically active, fast-paced environment.
