Job Summary:

The Systems Engineer will provide engineering and design support to Project Managers, ensuring the successful and timely delivery of electronic security system (ESS) projects. This includes overseeing system design, documentation, implementation, and on-site supervision, all in compliance with quality, safety, and budgetary requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Project Managers by providing system engineering and design services to meet project timelines, budgets, and quality standards
  • Prepare comprehensive system documentation, including design drawings, maintenance procedures, and project specifications
  • Supervise the on-site implementation and construction of electronic security systems
  • Assist in managing all phases of security system projects, including resource allocation, scheduling, procurement, and commissioning under the direction of the assigned Project Manager
  • Conduct site security surveys and audits, identify system deficiencies, and provide detailed recommendations for improvement
  • Develop test procedures, prepare reports, and lead field testing and commissioning of complete systems
  • Collaborate with Line Managers to ensure ESS project deliverables are clearly defined, understood, and achieved within contractual timelines
  • Design and implement ESS solutions in compliance with relevant codes, statutory requirements, industry best practices, and G4S Quality Assurance and HSE systems
  • Maintain strict client confidentiality and demonstrate discretion and integrity in all professional interactions
  • Ensure all necessary permits (e.g., permit to dig) are obtained before commencing on-site work

Selection Criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, IT, or a related discipline
  • In-depth knowledge of low-current systems including Access Control, CCTV, Fire Alarm, Intercom, Gate Barriers, Intruder Alarm, and Network Configuration
  • Proficient in IT tools including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and AutoCAD
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing electronic security solutions, preferably in commercial, military, or law enforcement environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivated, and able to work independently under pressure
  • Flexible and committed, with a strong work ethic suitable for a fast-paced, growing organization
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; capable of working effectively in multidisciplinary teams
  • Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory
