ELV Presales Engineer – Maintenance

We’re seeking a meticulous and commercially driven Pre-Sales Engineer specializing in the maintenance of security systems. This role is central to ensuring the profitability and technical integrity of service contracts—including AMC, SLA, T&M agreements, and bespoke maintenance packages. You’ll collaborate with sales, engineering, and operations teams to deliver competitive and technically sound proposals that align with client expectations and industry standards.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

💰 Cost Estimation & Pricing

• Develop precise cost models for maintenance contracts, covering labor, parts, licensing, logistics, and escalation tiers
• Quantify resources based on service level expectations, including 24/7 response, predictive/corrective support, and upgrade scenarios
• Benchmark pricing using vendor data, historical performance, and competitive insights

🛠️ Scope Definition & Technical Validation

• Analyze client documentation, site surveys, and technical drawings to define project scope
• Collaborate with site engineers and sales staff to identify risks, exclusions, and technical feasibility
• Align maintenance deliverables with achievable outcomes and client-specific needs

📃 Proposal Development

• Create accurate cost breakdowns, quotations, and commercial sections of RFPs/tenders
• Present pricing rationale and risk assessments to internal teams and clients
• Participate in negotiation meetings to support commercial and technical positioning

📊 Market Intelligence

• Conduct research on competitor pricing and service frameworks in the UAE market
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and their maintenance implications
• Recommend process and pricing model refinements based on industry best practices

⚙️ Tools & Methodology Improvement

• Utilize and improve estimation tools and spreadsheets to optimize output quality
• Maintain a database of historical estimates, actual costs, and project performance for future reference
