Description
Cinema Service Engineer is an opportunity to contribute to the day-to-day work of Majid Al Futtaim in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Cinema Service Engineer helps keep cinema projection, sound and related technical systems reliable for daily screenings. The position combines preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis and hands-on technical support to reduce downtime and provide consistent picture and audio quality across cinema operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect projection, sound, server, control and associated cinema equipment to identify faults before they affect scheduled screenings.
- Carry out preventive maintenance and troubleshoot technical problems, documenting findings and actions taken.
- Respond to service requests, prioritise issues according to their operational impact and restore equipment safely.
- Coordinate with cinema operations, vendors and technical specialists when repairs, replacements or specialist support are needed.
- Maintain service records, follow equipment procedures and support technical readiness before opening or scheduled show times.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A technical background in electronics, electrical systems, IT, audio-visual equipment or a comparable engineering field is relevant.
- Practical troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to diagnosing equipment faults.
- Ability to communicate technical issues clearly and work calmly when service restoration is time-sensitive.
- Commitment to safety, accurate maintenance records and ongoing learning about cinema technology.
Skills and Competencies
Helpful capabilities include equipment maintenance, fault diagnosis, electrical and electronic fundamentals, AV systems, technical documentation and cross-team support.
