Associate Professor – Management Science & Engineering

Job Overview

Khalifa University is seeking an Associate Professor in Management Science and Engineering to contribute to academic development, teaching, research, and programme leadership. The role covers engineering systems, operations, analytics, and management. The successful candidate will develop scholarly work, supervise graduate research, support curriculum and accreditation activities, and strengthen partnerships with industry and academic collaborators.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to strategic development of the Engineering Systems and Management programme and its academic priorities.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in management science, engineering systems, operations, analytics, and related areas.
• Lead a visible research programme and publish scholarly work in relevant peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
• Supervise MSc and PhD students, mentor research assistants and postdoctoral researchers, and guide senior design projects.
• Contribute to programme accreditation, assessment, curriculum development, and continuous improvement activities.
• Seek external funding and develop collaborations with industry, research partners, and other departments.
• Participate in academic service and mentor junior faculty when requested, supporting high standards of scholarship and teaching.

Requirements and Qualifications

• A PhD or equivalent terminal degree in a related discipline from an accredited institution is required.
• A minimum of eight years of relevant academic experience is required, including at least five years at Assistant Professor rank or equivalent.
• Candidates should demonstrate strong teaching, peer-reviewed scholarship, graduate supervision, and academic service.
• Experience in external funding, industry collaboration, curriculum development, and accreditation is highly desirable.
• Applicants should demonstrate academic leadership, clear communication, collaboration, and sound research judgement.
