Description
The Sales Engineer develops business in Abu Dhabi for electrical infrastructure products and related solutions. The position blends technical product knowledge with client relationship management, helping consultants, contractors and other decision-makers identify suitable products, receive clear quotations and progress project opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities and strengthen existing relationships across the Abu Dhabi electrical market.
- Promote wiring devices, PVC conduits, earthing systems and lightning-protection solutions to relevant project stakeholders.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable solutions, including lighting control, home automation, BMS and ELV where applicable.
- Provide technical product information, demonstrations and support to clients during sales discussions.
- Prepare quotations, technical submittals and tender documents accurately and within agreed timelines.
- Coordinate with internal departments to support product availability, timely delivery and successful project execution.
- Monitor competitor activity, market developments and regulations that may affect customer requirements.
- Work towards sales targets and support wider commercial growth initiatives.
Requirements and Skills
- A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Three to five years of sales experience in the Abu Dhabi market.
- Strong knowledge of wiring devices, PVC conduits, earthing and lightning protection systems.
- Knowledge of lighting controls, home automation, BMS and ELV is an advantage.
- Experience with MEP contractors, consultants or developers and larger commercial or industrial projects is preferred.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills; a UAE driving licence is preferred.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. Candidates should also demonstrate the role-related skills listed above and be able to collaborate effectively with colleagues and other stakeholders.
Employment Details
This is a full-time opportunity with Saeed & Mohammed Al Naboodah Group. The listed location is Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Daily priorities will depend on operational requirements, team coordination and the standards relevant to the role.
The role is suited to a technically confident sales professional who can develop client trust, understand project needs and follow opportunities through to closure.
