Post Doctoral Fellow

We are seeking an exceptional Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team at Khalifa University of Science and Technology in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related discipline, with expertise in cryptography, machine learning security, and adversarial attack and defense strategies. The role requires strong theoretical foundations in modern cryptographic protocols, privacy-preserving machine learning, and secure multi-party computation, as well as practical experience implementing these techniques to address real-world security challenges. The ideal candidate will have a proven research track record with publications in high-impact journals or conferences, and a demonstrated ability to conduct independent research while contributing to collaborative, interdisciplinary teams. Experience in analyzing security risks from emerging AI-driven threats and in developing robust, cryptography-based defenses is highly desirable. The fellow will work closely with faculty, researchers, and graduate students, contribute to grant proposals, publish findings in top-tier venues, and present results at international conferences. • Adhere to the University's information security and confidentiality policies and procedures, and report breaches or other security risks accordingly
• Coordinates day to day operations of the assigned laboratory and the assigned laboratory staff
• Ensures work is carried out and performed to the required standards
• Supports in lab instruction, when required
• Contributes to recruitment, training, development and performance appraisal of the assigned lab staff
• Supports in identifying and purchasing of lab equipment, following consultation with appropriate faculty and working closely with procurement/facilities management/ finance departments
• Supports in budget preparation by highlighting resource requirements such as equipment, manpower, and space
• Advises faculty and students on all aspects of technical support services
• Works closely with direct supervisor to provide excellent lab services to faculty, students and researchers
