Key Responsibilities

• Pick items from assigned locations against the order list and confirm product, quantity and variant before moving to the next item.
• Check freshness, packaging, expiry dates and visible product condition, following the applicable standards for food and non-food goods.
• Handle substitutions, unavailable products and order discrepancies according to store procedures, escalating issues when approval is needed.
• Keep picking areas, trolleys and equipment organised and clean, and follow safe manual-handling and hygiene practices.
• Complete orders within expected time targets and coordinate with packing, marshalling and dispatch colleagues during busy periods.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Careful attention to detail and the ability to follow order instructions consistently.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced retail or fulfilment environment and meet reasonable productivity expectations.
• Basic communication, numeracy and ability to use simple digital order tools where required.
• Reliability, punctuality and a cooperative attitude when working with colleagues and supervisors.
