The Courier is responsible for collecting and delivering packages to residential and commercial addresses. This is an active, customer-facing role carried out in a fast-paced delivery environment. Couriers drive between assigned destinations, handle packages throughout the working day and follow safe transportation practices. Key Responsibilities
- Collect packages from assigned locations and deliver them to the correct residential or commercial destinations.
- Follow assigned routes and delivery instructions while using safe driving practices throughout the day.
- Lift, lower, carry and position packages safely during loading, unloading, collection and delivery activities.
- Maintain professional contact with customers and provide courteous service at collection and delivery points.
- Follow company appearance guidelines and comply with local operating rules when using a vehicle.
- Work efficiently across a regular five-day schedule and maintain consistent service standards.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 70 lb (32 kg).
- Meets the local age and operational requirements for driving a vehicle.
- Good customer-contact and driving skills.
- Ability to comply with company appearance guidelines and safe-driving methods.
- Availability to work five days per week.
