Coffee Host

Shangri-La Group is seeking a Coffee Host to join its hospitality team in Abu Dhabi. This guest-facing position is responsible for creating a welcoming experience while providing efficient beverage and service support. The role is suitable for a service-oriented candidate who enjoys interacting with guests, works well in a team and is comfortable in a busy hospitality environment.

The Coffee Host will contribute to smooth daily outlet operations by welcoming guests, understanding their preferences, taking orders, delivering beverages and maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards. The position requires flexibility because hotel operations may include shifts, weekends, holidays and special events.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit.
• Take accurate beverage and food orders and communicate requirements clearly to the relevant service or preparation teams.
• Assist guests with menu and beverage choices based on their preferences and requirements.
• Prepare or serve coffee and other beverages according to established quality and presentation standards.
• Maintain clean, organized and well-presented service counters, equipment and guest areas.
• Process orders accurately and coordinate with colleagues to ensure timely service.
• Respond professionally to guest questions and feedback and seek support when required.
• Work cooperatively with colleagues to maintain smooth service during busy periods.

Requirements

• Previous guest-facing, café, restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential for suitable entry-level candidates.
• Positive, welcoming and team-oriented personality.
• Good verbal communication and customer-service skills.
• Basic knowledge of coffee and beverage service is an advantage.
• Ability to remain organized and calm in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and special events.
