Assistant Manager, Security Operation & Incident Management (UAE National)

Job overview: Commercial Bank of Dubai is seeking a Assistant Manager, Security Operation & Incident Management (UAE National) to join its banking team in the United Arab Emirates. Manage information-security operations and incident response activities within a regulated banking environment. The position supports timely investigation and containment of security events, strengthens operational readiness and leads teams in maintaining effective cyber defence. The successful candidate will work with colleagues and stakeholders to support reliable service, sound decisions and the bank’s operating standards. This vacancy is intended for UAE Nationals.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the handling of security incidents from detection and assessment through containment, recovery and post-incident review.
• Coordinate incident response with internal technology teams, business functions and external specialists where required.
• Apply security frameworks and threat-modelling methods to assess risks and improve operational controls.
• Monitor incident trends and response performance, identifying recurring weaknesses and opportunities to strengthen defences.
• Maintain incident records, escalation procedures and reporting for management, audit and regulatory purposes.
• Lead and develop team members, ensuring clear accountability and consistent operating standards.

Requirements and qualifications

• This position is reserved for a UAE National.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of information-security experience in banking, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• CISSP or CISM is highly desirable; knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, PCI-DSS, UAE regulations and threat-modelling approaches is required.
